What is Hi-Macs?Solidity
use only Hi-Macs Natural Acrylic Stone by LG. This new product is recognised as
the most technologically advanced in the Acrylic Solid Surface market and is
backed by a 15 year installed warranty. The material is delivered to us in sheet form in 12mm thickness for floors and hot areas, 9mm for worktops and 6mm for wall panels. Hi-Macs becomes flexible when heated to high temperature (>150°C) so we can form it into 2 and 3 dimensional curves and shapes using jigs and moulds. We can machine the Hi-Macs using tungsten carbide cutters to make grooves, rebates, holes and slots in much the same way as you can with MDF but it does take quite a bit more effort as the material is very tough. We
can fuse sections together to leave virtually undetectable seamless joints which
allows us to make huge items that appear to be one solid piece of material which
has been cast. The Composition 75% natural minerals and pigments mixed with high performance acrylic matrix to bind it together. The Performance Hi-Macs
is physically very strong, absolutely non-porous, easy to clean, repairable,
non-brittle and withstands virtually all chemicals but it can be damaged by heat
(>100°C), concentrated solvents, drain cleaners, paint stripper and strong
acids / alkalis. The
Warranty The
15 year warranty is backed by LG and covers repair of any manufacturing or
installation fault but does not cover consequential damage or damage caused by
abuse or wear and tear. Dark, solid colours show marks more easily than light, patterned colours so special care is needed to keep these colours looking new. How
to Clean Hi-Macs Hi-Macs can be easily cleaned using regular household detergent,
mild abrasive cleaners or bleach but the easiest way to clean it is to use one of the special shower cleaning
sprays.
